LunaStone pedals are designed in Denmark by its founder Steen Grøntved, who is an engineer, guitarist, and dreamer continuously pursuing superb guitar tone. Steen’s design efforts often start as attempts to create something that works for him. His design goal for the True Overdrive 1 was to imitate how valve circuitry behaves. Steen started from scratch, isolating components, playing, tweaking, tuning, and listening until he figured out how various transistors like BJTs, MOSFETs, JFETs, and several classic op-amps and diodes, colored and amplified his guitar tone.

LunaStone Big Fella
The Big Fella guitar effects pedal is all about big rock sound. This is one of Lunastone’s “True Overdrive” pedals; instead of clipping diodes, its overdrive tone is powered by cascading gain stages. This translates to a tube-like, naturally compressed sound. You get two distinct switch-selectable overdrive flavors: OD1 goes up to low-gain crunch, while OD2 serves up a smooth distortion with more gain. There’s also a dedicated boost footswitch, so you can use the overdrive and the boost independently or together.

LunaStone Blue Drive 1
It won’t be able to push your amp much further than a low growl, but high-gain aggression is not what Lunastone’s Blue Drive 1is all about. This guitar effects pedal is the perfect low-gain distortion for giving your amp’s clean tone a more gritty bite without compromising your sound’s core tonal characteristics. It’s very transparent and has a sweet, lingering sustain that lets held notes decay naturally. Volume, Tone, and Dist knobs give you plenty of tone-shaping flexibility.

Boost
LunaStone Boost 18
Its small, pedalboard-friendly footprint isn’t the only thing the Boost 18 shares with Lunastone’s award-winning Pusher boost pedal. It also packs the same tonal clarity and flavorful compression, but with a bigger boost impact. As its name implies, the Boost 18 ups the Pusher’s 15dB of clean boost up to 18dB at max. Lunastone also updated the boost control knob’s taper to give it a smoother, more linear feel when you’re turning up that dial.

Distortion
LunaStone Distortion 1
There’s something magical about the aggression the Distortion 1 from Lunastone can serve up. The Dist knob lets you dial in everything from crunchy overdrive to ballsy and aggressive metal-ish tones blasting out of a massive Marshall stack. The Tone control lets you pump out chunky, mid-heavy riffs, screaming leads that cut through the mix, and everything else in between. Whether you’re a single coil fan or a humbucker lover, the Distortion 1 will give your signal the growl it needs.

LunaStone Smooth Drive 1
As a low-gain option for musicians who want the tone of True Overdrive 1 but don’t have much use for the higher gain stages, the Smooth Drive 1’s overdrive is subtle, smooth, and gentle. With a little persuasion, though, this guitar effects pedal from Lunastone can still give you a dirty, low-gain growl that’s perfect for blues and rock. And since the control knobs are placed diagonally, you can quickly adjust them with your foot even when you’re in the middle of a solo.

LunaStone Three Stage Rocket MIDI
Lunastone’s Three Stage Rocket guitar effects pedal completely captures the great sound of a true analog overdrive. Its MIDI version takes all that power and makes it even easier to control, letting you store and control the settings of the original Three Stage Rocket’s four switches via a MIDI controller. The Three Stage Rocket MIDI also features soft touch switches, direct OD1 and OD2 access, and a light indicator for pre/post boost and drive.

Overdrive
LunaStone True OverDrive 1
The True Overdrive 1 is based on Lunastone’s own Big Fella overdrive guitar effects pedal. You get the Big Fella’s big, tube-like, naturally compressed overdrive sans the boost circuit. This translates to a versatile overdrive pedal with a compact, pedalboard-friendly footprint. Oh, and the diagonal knob placement? That’s not just about style; making the control knobs diagonal makes it easier to quickly adjust them with your foot on the fly, even when you’re in the middle of a solo.
