As its name implies, Amptweaker specializes in tweaking your tone. It started with its owner James Brown crafting amps at Peavey and trying to find the sound inside his head. It eventually grew into a place where it collaborates with you to deliver the tone in yours. Instead of creating clones of everybody else’s products, Amptweaker handcrafts exceptional amps and pedals with special features based on your feedback and ideas. Amptweaker BigRock Pro
When Amptweaker released the iconic TightMetal Pro distortion pedal in 2013, it has garnered several requests for a two button Rock distortion. Boasting Smooth and Fat switches, the BigRock Pro can get every familiar tone from FatRock and TightRock pedals. As its name hints, Amptweaker’s FatMetal creates a thick, rich distortion with a warmer overall tone compared to the TightMetal pedal. Carrying features identical to the TightRock, the darker and fatter FatRock Distortion Pedal is the culmination of insights from players who asked for a variation of TightRock. The FatRock version’s tone was tweaked to extend the Tone and Tight controls’ low range. The EQ switch provides classic vintage stack tones while the Gain Boost switch produces a very modern amount of gain. The Amptweaker PressuRizer compressor is a powerful clean tone tweaker that provides sustain without compression. The Amptweaker TightBoost Boost Pedal has more volume, less gain, and delivers a cleaner boost to drive your amp harder. In addition to the famous Tight control, it also has a Mid boost control which gradually provides a Parked Wah tone, allowing you to conveniently add a modulated amount of “vowel” tone to your boost. The TightBoost pedal leverages distortion methods identical to the TightDrive, producing a warm, nice sounding, and tube-like breakup on its own when driven hard. It ranges from moderately high gain to clean boost and features a Tight attack switch and noise gate. Amptweaker TightDrive Pro
The TightDrive Pro is the two-button variant of Amptweaker’s famous TightDrive pedal. Featuring Smooth and Fat switches, the TightDrive Pro can bring all the TightDrive pedal’s familiar tones. Transparent overdrive tones are abundant when the Gain switch is turned off. As requested by customers, the “Boost” Volume control was tweaked to make it easier to balance the volume. The Amptweaker TightFuzz Distortion Effect Pedal is sure to incorporate some vintage flavor to your arsenal. Unlike most vintage fuzz boxes with limited controls, the TightFuzz features a Tone control that tames fuzzy edges and Tight control that varies the pick attack from thick and smooth to aggressive and tight. Amptweaker’s TightFuzz Jr is a versatile fuzz pedal with a Tight attack switch and Silicon/Germanium transistor switch for different gain and tone. The TightFuzz Pro is built from Amptweaker’s famous TightFuzz distortion pedal. Similar to the standard-sized variant, it boasts several tonal options thanks to the Silicon/Germanium switch, 60’s/70’s tone switch, and Smooth Edge switch. The TightFuzz Pro introduces an auto-bias feature built into the Fuzz control that lets the knob control the nastiest and cleanest distortions using a single control. The Amptweaker TightMetal ST Distortion Pedal takes the famed TightMetal pedal with its aggressive metal and hardcore crunch tones and incorporates Amptweaker’s proprietary SideTrak effects loop, which works only when the pedal is off.
