Following rumors and product image leaks, Line 6 has officially released the expanded version of its revered pedalboard effects processor—the HX Stomp XL.
This new member of the HX family of pedalboard-friendly units has garnered an intrigued reaction from some HX Stomp fans, saying the primary upgrade over the original processor seemed to be merely additional footswitches.
In response to this reaction, Line 6 said in a press release that it’s “not going to pretend it’s the most innovative product” it offers but “for some customers, it’s the goldilocks form factor.”
At the core of the HX Stomp XL is the HX modeling engine. And, like the original, it boasts the ability to run as a multi-channel audio interface when connected via a USB cable. You can now find the extensive I/O options on the back of the pedal.
Additional features include a multichannel 24-bit/96kHz USB audio interface, third-party IR support, a jack for an expression pedal or two external footswitches, a stereo effects loop to integrate external devices or use 4-Cable Method, and a choice of true bypass and DSP bypass with trails.
The Line 6 HX Stomp XL is now available worldwide for $1,049.99. Hear it in action with the brand’s demo video below:
