The Philosopher Bass Compressor Micro by Pigtronix loads the iconic Philosopher’s Tone compressor circuit into a compact stompbox format designed for bassists. It consists of Sustain, Blend, Volume, and Grit knobs. Use the Sustain control to adjust the compression threshold to achieve anything from mild peak limiting to endless clean sustain, all with an unbelievable low-end response. The Blend knob lets your instrument’s clean sound be heard in parallel with the optical compression, while the Grit control mixes in bass distortion. The Philosopher Bass Compressor Micro features true bypass switching and noiseless clean sustain.
