Featuring eight different delays within a single unit, the Blackstar HT-DELAY tube delay pedal can bring you from classic analog and linear full bandwidth effects to vintage and multi-head tape delays, along with two versatile loop modes. The unique SATURATION knob lets you add harmonics and real tube compression, while the TAP/LOOP footswitch allows easy control. The eight delay effects include Loop 1, Loop 2, Multihead 1, Multihead 2, Space, Tape, Linear, and Analogue.
As its name suggests, the Quadrant Audio Mirror combines four unique delay effects—magnetic, analog, digital, and lo-fi—into a sonic space-time stompbox. Complementing the rate (up to 915ms), feedback, mod, and mix controls is a new Glide knob that controls changes in the delay time; set it to low for a seamless shift and crank it up for pitch shifts. The Quadrant Audio mirror comes with expression pedal and MIDI compatibility, tap tempo, and an Auto-Trail setting that lets you control how long your delays ring out when you turn the pedal off.
As with other Carl Martin products, the EchoTone is built with gigging musicians in mind. It boasts foot-switchable Manual or Tap time settings, up to 1200 milliseconds of vintage echo, and switchable trail function at bypass. It lets you play with your desired slap-back echo on rhythm to the Tap set echo for a superb lead or solo. Couple that with coloring your echo by adding a flange, chorus, or distortion pedal to the insert loop, and you get what Carl Martin’s test players refer to as “the best echo they have ever heard.”
The Carl Martin DeLayla XL boasts the same sonic quality as the original DeLayla plus other extended features. It incorporates a second delay head (slapback) and several of the same features found in vintage tape delay units. It can give you that real rock ‘n roll slapback echo which digital processors fail to emulate. The DeLayla XL is capable of delivering a warm, smooth sound reminiscent of the 50’s and 60’s vintage tape units, coupled with advanced features.
Getting great, natural-sounding delay tones doesn’t have to be expensive, and the Caline CP-19 Blue Ocean Delay guitar effect pedal proves it. You can dial in a delay time of anywhere from 25ms to 600ms with the Delay knob and then use the Repeat knob to control the delay signal’s repeats for slap back effects and classic delays.
