Zoom has lifted the veil on its latest flagship floorboard unit, the G6 Multi-Effects Processor, which comes loaded with amp models and effects.
The G6 takes after Zoom’s earlier multi-effects units, with some added features new for 2021, including a larger LCD touchscreen that lets you drag-and-drop modules into a digital rig consisting of one amp model and up to seven simultaneous effects.
Also on offer are 70 preloaded impulse responses, 135 preloaded effects, as well as the ability to add up to 100 of your custom impulse responses. Personalization continues with 140 pre-created patches and 100 user preset slots, each immediately loading one of the seven-effect single-amp virtual rigs.
For soloists, the G6 serves up the new infinite looper plus 68 inbuilt rhythm patterns to play over, all in different genres and time signatures. Like many multi-effect units, it works as an audio interface for PC and Mac. The hardware consists of one expression pedal, four rotary control knobs, and six footswitches.
With the new G6 Multi-Effects Processor, Zoom promises “more sonic possibilities than ever before,” giving you jaw-dropping effects coupled with sophisticated amp modeling.
The G6 is slated for a Spring 2021 release for £442.80. Check out Zoom’s demo video below to hear it in action.
