SolidGoldFX has unveiled its newest effect—the EM-III Multi-Head Octave Echo, which serves up an extensive range of sounds from pitch-fluttering vintage-ness to clean modern sounds.
Control-wise, the EM-III Multi-Head Octave Echo consists of control knobs for mix level, delay time, flutter amount, repeat feedback, and the color of the repeats. You may use the Flutter dial to set the modulation in two ways. At noon, no modulation but rolling right produces a vaster vibrato, and dialing left yields a “slow dreamy chorus” sound.
Starring a similar approach to dual functionality, the Color knob applies no filtering at noon. However, turning right engages a high-pass filter, while dialing left activates a low-pass filter, delivering respectively bright, lo-fi repeats or dark, murky repeats,
A central Heads/Octave switch lets you incorporate a signal one octave lower to the primary delay head, yielding more unconventional sounds from washed-out ambiance to rhythmic, bouncing delays. You can also toggle between 1, 2, or 3 delay heads active.
“Building on SGFX’s Electroman Delay legacy, the EM-III manages to both echo the past, present and future,” SolidGoldFX detailed. “With EM-III’s wide-ranging yet ultra-intuitive control set, placing warm analog-voiced echoes, precise and modern delays, as well as experimental and futuristic sound designs, are all just a single stomp away.”
The SolidGoldFX EM-III Multi-Head Octave Echo is already available for £199.
