MXR has introduced its new Clone Looper pedal, which it claims is convenient to use and capable of providing a “higher fidelity signal reproduction than any other looper of its type.”
The Clone Looper features unlimited overdubs and up to six minutes of recording time. It also includes an LED that gives a flashing four-count before the start of the loop so the user can keep their overdubs tight.
Storage sample rates are as much as 88.2kHz, which the brand reckons can handle just about any effect the user can throw at it. The Clone Looper also incorporates an analog through-path that keeps the dry signal unaffected. Users are also given the choice between buffered and true bypass.
The Clone Looper boasts a simple control layout consists of a Volume knob, footswitch in, expression in, as well as footswitches for Rec/Dub and Play/Stop. It is also equipped with reverse and double-speed options accessible by double-pushing or pushing the Volume control.
The Clone Looper pedal is highly engineered for impeccable sound quality. It comes loaded with features within a pedalboard-friendly, standard MXR housing. The pedal could be intricate or simple, depending on what the user requires.
The Clone Looper retails for $149 and will be available in October.
