Monty’s Guitars has joined forces with Audio Kitchen’s Steve Crow for two new JFET boosters—the More! and A Little More!.
In the More!, you get dual 15dB JFET gain stages, along with a handy effects loop for more signal chain options. Controls are relatively simple, with each gain stage having a corresponding volume dial. The stompbox features both 18V and standard 9V operation for some added headroom.
In terms of functionality, Monty’s Guitars wrote: “Apart from being the best clean boost you have ever heard, the More! has a not-so-secret feature, the fabled loop. This is the second way to use the pedal, the feature allows you to insert a pedal or pedals of your choice in between the two More!s, allowing you to drive the front end of your chosen pedals with one More! and boosting the result with the other.
“The third way is to use the loop in conjunction with the send and return of your amp’s effects loop. This way you can use one side to boost the preamp for extra gain and the other for extra volume, the ultimate all-in-one solo boost.”
Meanwhile, A Little More!, as its name implies, lets you enjoy one side of the More! in a more compact chassis. It consists of only a single 15dB JFET gain stage.
