Maxon TBO-9 True Tube Booster/Overdrive
The Maxon TBO-9 True Tube Booster/Overdrive employs a pre-tube configuration similar to the TOD-9. It includes the Dry Blend feature available in Maxon’s famed VOP-9 and OD820 overdrives. It consists of Boost, Drive, Level, and Tone knobs. The Boost control lets you adjust the tube gain level while the dual-purpose Drive knob increases saturation and blends clean signal and distorted sound. The TBO-9 combines overdrive and clean boost functionalities with a tube gain stage to give you a flexible tone-sculpting tool.

The TOD-9 True Tube Overdrive from Maxon is undoubtedly the most tube-amp sounding overdrive available. It leverages a distinct pre-tube circuit configuration which cascades the tube output into a solid-state distortion circuit, producing a powerful and warm tone highly interactive with your performance. The Maxon Vintage Series Distortion Master gives you a lush, full-frequency response with a beautifully voiced midrange and precision-tuned low end that is tight and big sans being muddy. Its proprietary tone circuitry is capable of making even the tiniest amp sound like a full-stack. It consists of Level, Treble, Bass, and Gain knobs. Maxon Vintage Overdrive Pro
The Vintage Overdrive Pro pedal from Maxon is the revamped version of the OD820. It imparts a warm and natural nuance to your guitar sound similar to that of a great vintage amp. Specially crafted circuit reacts accurately to every picking nuance with minimal compression. The Vintage Overdrive Pro blends overdrive and clean booster functions. When you set the Drive control level to the minimum, the overdrive circuit functions as a -12dB attenuator, while the clean boost circuit as a 6dB booster to deliver a clean, flat boost sound.

Maxon VOP-9 Vintage Overdrive Pro
An update to the Maxon OD820, the VOP-9 Vintage Overdrive Pro pedal takes the OD820’s fundamental circuit and packs it into Maxon’s durable, industry-standard 9-Series enclosure. The VOP-9 leverages an identical JRC NJM4558D op-amp for low-noise performance. It boasts the same negative feedback loop clipping diode as the OD-9 and OD820. Similar to the ‘820, the VOP-9 includes a mechanical true bypass switching for unaltered sound in bypass and the capability to combine overdriven with clean tones.
