JHS Pedals Introduces 3 Series Phaser, Flanger, and Hall Reverb Leave a comment

JHS Pedals has added the all-new Phaser, Flanger, and Hall Reverb units to its 3 Series collection of affordable stompboxes.

Each 3 Series pedal carries a toggle switch and a trio of control dials. For starters, the Flanger draws inspiration from ridiculously pricey classic analog filters, such as MXR M117, Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress, and Tycobrahe Pedalflanger. A Tape switch activates tape-esque sweeps, while knobs manage Rate, Blend, and Intensity parameters.

Unlike the existing 3 Series Reverb, the Hall Reverb mimics the sounds of massive reverberated spaces, making it ideal for “massive, infinite and otherworldly reverb.” A Modulate toggle along with Verb, Decay, and Dampen dials dictate the pedal.

Ultimately, the Phaser is spec’d from classic 70s phaser circuits. Self-explanatory knobs include Blend, Rate, and Width. These allow for mixing modulated and unmodulated signals and determining LFO speed and size, respectively.

In October last year, JHS Pedals introduced the 3 Series line, consisting of Chorus, Delay, Fuzz, Distortion, Reverb, Compressor, and Overdrive, promising affordability and ease of use sans sacrificing quality.

“The JHS Pedals 3 Series is a collection of pedals designed to give you affordability and simplicity without compromising quality. Each 3 Series pedal is made by us in Kansas City, MO, using high-quality parts, quality control, and attention to every detail,” the brand wrote.

As with other 3 Series pedals, the Phaser, Flanger, and Hall Reverb retail for $99 apiece.
