Electro-Harmonix has announced the Intelligent Harmony Machine, an intelligent harmonizer boasting up to two pitch-shifted voices on tap.
Featuring some of the same technologies as the Electro-Harmonix POG and Pitch Fork, the Intelligent Harmony Machine operates in either Polyphonic Override and Intelligent Harmony modes. In the former, the unit acts as a pitch shifter with multi-voice talents, while in the latter, it yields diatonically precise harmonies in minor and major keys from one-line melodies.
Since the two-harmony options come as presets, you can’t set both voices separately. Nevertheless, Electro-Harmonix offers six extra presets hidden away as secondary functions, so you have enough options.
Other notable functionalities include a sweep mode for gliding your signal to target pitches and a momentary mode for disengaging the effect.
Additionally, the Intelligent Harmony Machine comes with a dry output for running two signal chains, a mix dial to set the amount of the effect, and a 9V battery compartment.
The Electro-Harmonix Intelligent Harmony Machine retails for $230. Check out the demo video below to see how you can use the two outputs to nail a stereo doubler effect.
