Old Blood Noise Endeavors has lifted the veil on the Expression Ramper, a portable control pedal for automating your other stompboxes’ expression parameters.
With the Expression Ramper, you can dial in two different expression parameters and alternate between them in various ways after pressing the footswitch. In Sqr mode, it leverages a squarewave for an immediate change, whereas Tri mode makes it glide across a linear triangle wave sweep between A and B. Both modes work with an LFO, continuously oscillating between the A and B expression parameters.
Also on offer is the more out-there A<>B mode, which activates a one-shot sweep between the two positions. Meaning, every time you press the footswitch, the Expression Ramper’s expression parameter will sweep towards the other and stay there. Both the one-shot ramp and LFO speed are adjustable via the unit’s rate.
Other handy features include an LED indicator, configurable expression output (TS, TRS, or reverse-polarity TRS), support for preset storage, and a compact chassis with a top-mounted EXP jack.
The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Expression Ramper runs on 9VDC center negative power and will be available later this month for £59. Check out the demo video below to hear it in action.
