Eventide has unveiled the MicroPitch Delay, a standalone hardware variant of the namesake algorithm.
First seen in the H910 and H949 multi-effects processors, the MicroPitch Delay algorithm features complex modulation and pitch-shifting on the repeats, with two pitch-shifters and fine-resolution detuning.
New for the hardware variant is a pair of new envelope sources for the modulation. The pedal also has multiple bypass options for various signal chain needs and can save five directly-accessible presets or up to 127 via a midi connection.
Control-wise, the MicroPitch Delay carries Tap and Active footswitches, along with control knobs for Mix (Tone), Pitch A (Delay A), Pitch B (Delay B), Depth (Mod), Rate/Sens (Feedback), and Pitch Mix (Out level). Each dial comes with a secondary function, accessible by pressing the button at the top right corner.
Touted as “your secret sauce,” Eventide describes the MicroPitch Delay as “the key ingredient for serving up flavorful tone: Instantly harness soaring leads that jump out of the mix, add distinct lushness to a compelling clean passage and get your fill of vibey modulation that’s sure to sweeten any pot with the push of a button.”
