Horizon Devices has unveiled its latest effects stompbox, the Flux Echo reverb/delay combo.
The Flux Echo works well with most setups, including traditional mono rigs and stereo rigs with multiple instruments/amps. The pedal also sounds beautiful with synthesizers.
“After over [two] years of design, testing, and tweaking, we are so excited to finally be able to present our latest inspiration box: The Flux Echo! It’s the result of years of research & development, our community’s great input and Misha’s extensive delay collection ranging from vintage tape echoes to modern, crisp delays,” Horizon Devices detailed.
Contrary to the pedal brand’s two earlier units, the new Flux Echo is a time-based effect, rather than the Apex Preamp or Precision Drive. It pairs analog delay with ambient reverb, serving up a variety of flavor combinations to choose from.
The central Flux Mode switch toggles between three distinct modes: a shimmer reverb with a tape-esque echo, a lightly modulated reverb with a smooth reverse delay, and a warm, ambient reverb with clean analog delay repeats.
All these are controllable by four control knobs—Mix, Tone, Reverb Decay, and Delay Feedback—plus a momentary Tap/Hold switch. The dials control the delay feedback amount, the tone of the effect, the reverb’s decay, and the wet/dry mix.
