Massachusetts-headquartered effects pedal company Source Audio will exhibit their EQ2 Programmable Equalizer at NAMM 2020 this weekend.
The EQ2 Programmable EQ is the second generation of Source Audio’s Programmable EQ, a sophisticated, MIDI-controllable upgrade to traditional EQ pedals.
This soon-to-be-released unit is a hybrid graphic and parametric equalizer stompbox. It features 128 MIDI accessible presets, eight onboard presets, 10 adjustable frequency bands, five-pin DIN input and thru jacks, stereo inputs and outputs, as well as an additional 12dB volume boost.
Sporting sleek, modern hardware, the EQ2 Programmable EQ comes with a crystal-clear LED screen, on-the-fly preset switching capabilities, and straightforward control interface. Besides its versatile onboard options, the pedal is also compatible with Source Audio’s Neuro Mobile and Desktop Editors.
Other features include a USB port for connecting to the Neuro Desktop Editor or receiving MIDI PC and CC messages from a DAW.
“Source Audio created a completely new product category when we released the Programmable EQ pedal back in 2011. It gradually became one of our most successful products. We are confident that the EQ2 … will be another big success,” Source Audio President Roger Smith detailed.
The EQ2 Programmable EQ carries a street price of $269. It is scheduled to reach stores in March.
