Sound effects giant Electro-Harmonix has just unveiled a new addition to the effects loop mixer/switcher niche – the EHX Tri Parallel Mixer.
Electro-Harmonix aims to promote the Tri Parallel Mixer as an “effects creation and mixing hub”. With its three separate effects loops, each with flexible controls and functionality, the audio-tech company aims to corral a good chunk of the sound effects market.
According to the press release, the three separate FX loops provide multiple configurations:
- Run up to three FX Loops in parallel and create sounds that are not possible by connecting effects in series
- Switch seamlessly between FX Loops in XOR mode
- Send one instrument out to three separate amplifiers
- Mix three instruments into a single output
The Tri Parallel Mixer allows players unique flexibility when working on their effects — one of which is by running up to three separate effects loops in parallel.
Each FX loop also features Return, Send, EQ and Phase controls. It has a Master Volume and Dry Volume as well.
Considering all of its features, Electro-Harmonix has built the Tri Parallel Mixer to be incredibly compact. Adding to its functionality, the new mixer carries user-friendly controls allowing for easy adaptability. The Tri-Parallel Mixer comes with an EHX 9.6DC power supply.
The Tri Parallel Mixer is available with a retail price tag of $138.70.
