Boss just introduced two new additions to its brand: the SY-1 Synthesizer pedal and the RC-10R Rhythm Loop Station.
The RC-10R Rhythm Loop Station is the latest addition to the company’s long-running line of Loop Station products. The new synth pedal aims to combine song-based looping, organic rhythms, and class-leading sound within a compact package.
Built with more than 280 pre-set rhythms, Boss’ RC-10R should support any musical style. Future owners can also import their own SMF rhythms and store them in 50 onboard locations.
On the other hand, SY-1 Synthesizer is poised to be the latest application of the guitar synth technology to the iconic compact pedal lineup. It features a top-of-the-line polyphonic engine which provides users with 121 ultra-responsive synth sounds.
Boss aims for the SY-1 Synthesizer to be a simple-to-use yet versatile pedal for both expert and novice guitarists / bassists.
The SY-1 is built with a wide range of analog-style synth sounds in a compact, pedalboard-friendly size. The pedal comes with leads, pads, organs, basses, and a collection of sound effects and rhythmic synth patterns. Sounds are organized into 11 different types, with 11 variations in each.
The BOSS RC-10R Rhythm Loop Station is set to retail for $299.99, while BOSS SY-1 Synthesizer will be available for $199.99. Both units will hit the shelves of all authorized Boss retailers and online sellers in the U.S.
